Aquamarine

Aquamarine is traditionally March's birthstone. The gem's name literally means "ocean water", which dates back to ancient times when sailors believed that the glitterin, watery gems came from the treasured chests of mermaids. Aquamarine is a cousin to Emerald and Morganite, however it's color is more pure, and it's attributes are less brittle than Emerald, making it very desirable.

Aquamarine Care:

Aquamarine is rated "good" for everyday wear. To clean, very gently scrub with a soft toothbrush in warm water and a mild dish soap. Avoid wxposure to heat, contact with chemicals, and protect from scratches and harsh blows.

Dukes Jewelers provides a jewelry cleaning service free of charge.
