Opal

Opal has been deemed the "official" stone for the month of october. With it's magical display of pulsing colors, Opal has always been thought to hold magical powers. The crown of the Roman Emperor held a very famous opal called "The Burning of Troy"- It was a gift from Napoleon to Josephine. The Opal is often symbolic of love, life, hope, and truth.

Opal Care:

Opal is rated "fair" for everyday wear. To clean, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush in warm water and dishsoap. Avoid exposure to heat, chemicals, and protect from harsh blows.

The ring found in the picture to the left is a 1.34 kt opal set in a 14kt white gold and diamond ring.
