February Birthstone is Amethyst
The History and Folklore on Amethysts is long standing and rich.
Did you know?
The word AMETHYST comes from the Greek meaning "Without Drunkeness" and amethyst is believed to protect one from poison.

February IN STORE Amethysts are 20% off our Retail Price!
Trained as a watchmaker by the Army during WWII, J. Melvin Duke (my grandfather) opened Duke's Jewelers following the war in 1948. When my grandparents retired, I became owner of the store and was trained as a goldsmith/bench jeweler, and Graduate Gemologist, and was awarded the Certified Gemologist title by the American Gem Society. Our quest is to provide exceptional service and accessories. Our jewelry, diamonds, gems, and watches are beautiful.
We don't overcharge for inferior jewelry like many other jewelers. We offer great styles at value prices. Whether you prefer a custom-made piece or something from our stock, we know that you will be pleased.
Please visit us and see for yourself.
Richard Holmes,
Owner. Certified Gemologist.
